ScanNote cloud learning platform offers four main functions: English Learning, Data Input, Reading Assistance, and translation.
Users can select and operate the desired functions based on their needs.
1. How to Connect the Pen Scanner:
(When using the pen scanner, please connect it first.)

STEP 1: On the scanning pen, select the [ScanNote] function. The screen on the pen will display a QR code, connection instructions, and the Pen ID.
STEP 2: On your computer, open a browser and go to https://wps.evolaclass.com. Enter any of the following functions: [English Learning], [Data Input], [Reading Assistant], or [Translation], select your pen scanner model, input the [Pen ID] shown on the pen scanner, and click the [Connect] button to establish the connection.

● How to Connect to a Mobile Device (iOS/Android)
STEP 1: On the scanning pen, select the [ScanNote] function. The screen on the pen will display a QR code, connection instructions, and the Pen ID.
STEP 2: On your mobile phone, use the camera to scan the QR code on the pen scanner. Once the ScanNote webpage opens, navigate to the [English Learning], [Data Input], [Reading Assistant], or [Translation] function to establish the connection.

2. ScanNote Features:
1. English Learning

(1) Dictionary Lookup
After connecting the pen scanner, you can scan words to view dictionary definitions. Scanning an entire sentence will display its translation.
To view the meaning of a specific word in a sentence, select the desired word to see its explanation.
Click [Speaking Practice] to practice speaking English words or sentences.
- Word Pronunciation Practice: Select a word to practice its pronunciation and enhance memory.
- Sentence Pronunciation Practice: If no specific word is selected, practice speaking the entire sentence to improve fluency and sense of language.

(2) Vocabulary Sets
Built-in vocabulary books designed for exam preparation are available for learning. You can test your learning progress through mini vocabulary games or create your own vocabulary books to add words requiring extra practice.

(3) Passage Learning
Allows you to extract and read full paragraphs or articles. This mode provides Translation, Summary, and A.I. Vocabulary Recognition.
- Click [Translation] to view translated content.
- Click [Summary] to let AI generate a summary of the article for quick reading and comprehension.
- Click [Vocabulary] to automatically identify words in the article based on commonly tested vocabulary ranges.

2. Data Input
After connecting the pen scanner, you can scan text from books and extract the content. Data is saved in the cloud and can be accessed on mobile or computer.

Note: If you want to scan directly into a computer application (e.g., MS Word), click the download icon in the upper-right corner to download and install the desktop software. Once installed, open the software and follow the instructions to connect the scanning pen. You can then begin scanning.

3. Reading Assistant

After connecting the pen scanner, you can use it to extract text and customize your own reading mode (e.g., background, dyslexia-friendly fonts, font colors), line focus, and reading-aloud settings for an immersive reading experience.

4. Translation
You can use the pen scanner to scan entire sentences or paragraphs for full-sentence or full-paragraph translations.
