In short, one is the contacts stored in your local device (client software), and the other is the backup contacts saved on the server.
The concept of these two zones is explained here:
- When you add a contact through the software or APP, please remember to do the synchronization with the WorldCard Cloud server; after synchronization, the contact will be kept in the software and stored in the WorldCard Cloud server. Under your account on the server, the contacts saved in the software are called "My Contacts", and the backup on the server is called "Shared Contacts".
- If you delete this contact information in "My Contacts" in the software, it will still be auto-downloaded for you next time you synchronize with WorldCard Cloud Server.
- In the Shared Contacts area, according to the management settings, there are "company-wide sharing" and "permission-based sharing". If it is "shared by the whole company", all accounts can see all the contacts; if it is "shared according to permissions", only you and your direct supervisor account can see the contacts, but other user accounts cannot, only when you actively share a contact with other accounts, the shared people can see this contact under your account name that in the "Shared Contacts" area.
- In "Shared Contacts", you can manually download the contacts you can see under others' accounts to "My Contacts" for use.
- If you want to completely delete a contact, please delete it in "Shared Contacts" first, and then delete it from "My Contacts"; however, if this contact is shared by you and the other party has downloaded it to their "My Contacts", then it cannot be deleted from "Shared Contacts". You must ask the other party to delete them from "My Contacts" first, then that contact can be deleted from "Shared Contacts".
