1. Introduction
Notique AI is an AI-powered system designed to transform everyday recording and note-taking into structured, meaningful knowledge. It combines the Notique AI Pen with the Notique AI App, enabling seamless audio capture, secure storage, transcription, summarization, and intelligent insights across meetings, classes, interviews, and creative workflows.
2. Product Overview
The Notique AI Pen is a dual-purpose device that functions as both a high-quality recorder and a ballpoint pen. With built-in storage, noise reduction, and encrypted audio, it works seamlessly with the Notique AI App to organize your content into a centralized knowledge hub.

3. Getting Started
Power On & Start Recording
- When powered off, slide the switch down for 3–4 seconds.
- The green light turns on first (Bluetooth enabled).
- It then turns red, indicating the pen is recording.
- While recording, the red light blinks once every 2 seconds.
Save Recording & Power Off
Slide the switch up for 3–4 seconds to save the audio and power off.
Important:
Do not slide the switch up and immediately back down.
The pen must fully shut down before starting a new recording session.
Important:
The pen can record completely on its own.
You do not need to connect the Notique AI App to start or continue recording.
The app is only required later when you want to transfer recordings from the pen to your phone.

4. Charging the Pen
- Rotate the top cap counterclockwise to reveal the USB-C connector.
- Use the included cable with a 5V/1A or 5V/2A slow charger.
- The orange light indicates charging; it turns off when the battery is full.
Fast charging is not supported.
Uncertified fast chargers may shorten battery lifespan.
5. Connecting to the Notique AI App
Setup Steps
- Download the Notique AI App via iOS testflight link.
- Enable Bluetooth and Location on your phone.
- Grant all required permissions after launching the app.
- New users must register for a Notique AI account.
- Follow the pairing instructions shown in the app.
About Encrypted Audio Files
- Recordings are saved as encrypted OPUS files, which:
- Cannot be played on standard media players
- Must be accessed through the Notique AI App
- Help protect sensitive information
6. Recording Sync & File Transfer Workflow
For the most reliable connection:

Turn on the pen first.

Then open the Notique AI App.
The app only attempts auto-connection for about three seconds, so timing matters.
If the app still doesn’t connect:
- Open your phone’s multitasking view
- Fully close the Notique AI App (swipe it away)
- Reopen the app and try again
This simple reset resolves most connection issues.
3. Tap the "Import from Recorder" button to start transferring files to the app.
⚠️ Important: Recording and Transferring are Mutually Exclusive
The recorder can only perform one task at a time. Starting a file transfer will automatically stop any ongoing recording.
During File Transfer ➡ Recording is disabled.
To Record ➡ Please finish or disconnect the file transfer first.

The Merge feature allows you to consolidate multiple related files into a single Knowledge Collection, enabling in-depth cross-document management and analysis.

- Boost Technical Accuracy: Relying solely on audio recognition can lead to homophone errors or misspellings of specialized terms. By uploading meeting materials (PDFs) as attachments within a Merge, the AI automatically references these documents to ensure names and product terminology are exported with 100% precision.
- Automated Timeline Organization: The system automatically generates workspaces based on the recording date (e.g., July 22, July 24). Multiple recordings from the same day are grouped together and presented in a clear, chronological timeline.

Create a Merge: Click the [ + ] icon and give it a name (e.g., "New Product Development Meeting").

Import Data: Once inside the Merge, click Select Audio Files to begin the import process.

- Add Attachments: Upload text-based data to enhance the depth of your summaries; upload photos, and the system will automatically insert them into the corresponding positions in your transcript based on the timestamp.
- Switch Templates: Choose the most effective format from the template library based on your specific scenario (e.g., Interview, Weekly Report).

Generate Summary: After configuring your settings, click Generate Summary. You can use the View Data Source tool to trace insights back to the original transcripts or reference attachments.

- Handwriting Recognition: Take a photo of your handwritten notes; the system will automatically recognize the text and incorporate it into the final summary.

10. Account & Battery Protection
Account Linking Rules
- One account can link one pen
- One PenID connects to one account
- When switching pens, remaining paid minutes can be transferred
Low Battery Behavior
- If battery is under 10% during connection, the app shows:
“Battery too low, please charge.” - If battery drops below 10% while connected, the app disconnects.

- Avoid extreme heat, moisture, or magnetic interference
- Use only slow chargers (5V/1A or 5V/2A)
- Do not use fast-charging adapters
- Charge at least once every three months if unused
- Avoid applying force when removing the cap or refilling the pen
