This error message usually occurs when the device serial number recorded in the audio file does not match the device serial number currently bound to your App account.
To ensure the privacy and data security of every user, each Notique AI Pen has a unique device serial number. When you record audio, the voice recorder encrypts and writes its own serial number into the audio file. When you import the file into the App for decryption and transfer, the system automatically verifies whether the serial number in the file matches the device bound to your logged-in account. If they do not match, the system will intercept the process and display this message to prevent the audio file from being illegally read by an unbound account.
Common Causes and Troubleshooting Steps
You can check and fix the issue based on the following two most common scenarios:
Scenario A: Accidentally picked up someone else's voice recorder
- Cause Analysis: If your colleagues or friends nearby also use the Notique AI Pen (for example, when meeting in the same conference room), it is highly possible that you accidentally picked up each other's device after the meeting. In this case, the files recorded by the other person's pen naturally cannot be imported into your account.
- Resolution Steps:
- Please check the appearance of the voice recorder in your hand or verify with your colleagues to confirm if you have accidentally taken someone else's device.
- Find your originally bound voice recorder, reconnect it to the App, and you can successfully execute Import from Voice Recorder.
Scenario B: You own more than one voice recorder and have switched devices
- Cause Analysis: Based on the privacy and security mechanism, the system stipulates that each pen can only be bound to one account, and an account can only be associated with one voice recorder at a time. If you purchased a second new pen and directly connected it to the mobile App to transfer files from the old pen, or directly used the new pen to transfer files to an account that has not been rebound yet, this error will be triggered.
- Resolution Steps: If you need to use the second pen to transfer and import files, please follow the replacement binding procedure below in order:
- Unbind the old device: Open the Notique AI App, click the "Connection Icon" in the upper right corner to enter the device page. Then, unbind the first voice recorder.
- Bind the new device: Turn on the second voice recorder (toggle the recording switch down once until you see the green light turn on), and click the "Connection Icon" in the upper right corner of the App to connect manually. After a successful connection, the system will automatically complete the binding between your account and the second new pen.
- Re-transfer: After completing the new device binding, you can normally click the Import from Voice Recorder button to download and decrypt the files.
💡 Friendly Reminder
The original audio files inside the voice recorder are strictly encrypted. They must be synchronized through the App via the correctly bound account to be successfully decrypted and played.
