When you use the Notique AI App to import large recording files via wireless transmission, the speed is usually slower because it uses the BLE transmission protocol. To provide a more efficient experience, the Notique AI Pen (Model: DVR-611) supports OTG USB transmission mode.
This FAQ will guide Android users on how to quickly import recording files into their phones through an OTG wired connection.
Please follow the three steps below:
Step 1: Connect the Hardware
Rotate the protective cap at the top of the Notique AI Pen counterclockwise to remove it, exposing the USB-C interface, and insert it directly into the charging port at the bottom of the Android phone.
Step 2: Select the Recording Folder Path
Open the Notique AI App, and tap "Start Transfer" on the manual import page. The system will automatically open the built-in Android file manager. Please perform the following operations in order:
- Tap the ☰ Menu button in the upper left corner of the screen.
- Find the device named DVR-611 in the device list and tap to enter.
- Enter the "RECORD" folder.
- Tap the "Use this folder" button at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Redirect back to the App to Start Transfer
After completing the above selection and allowing system access, the web page or App will automatically redirect back to the Notique AI interface and start high-speed file transfer.
🛠️ Troubleshooting Common Errors (FAQ)
If you encounter any abnormal situations while performing the above three steps, please refer to the following solutions to troubleshoot:
Troubleshooting for [Step 1]
Q1: After tapping the ☰ menu in the upper left corner, I don't see the DVR-611 device?
- Possible Cause: The system takes a few seconds to mount the external device.
- Solution: Please wait for 5–10 seconds after plugging it in, then check again. If it still does not appear, check if the voice recorder is fully and tightly inserted into the phone's charging port, or try unplugging and plugging it in again.
Q2: Notique AI Pen is fully inserted, but the phone does not detect the new device at all?
- Possible Cause: Some Android phone brands (such as OPPO, vivo, realme, OnePlus, etc.) turn off the system's USB OTG connection function by default.
- Solution: Please go to the phone's "Settings" > search for "OTG", and manually turn on the "OTG Connection" or "USB OTG" function. Once enabled, reinsert the voice recorder into the phone.
Q3: Notique AI Pen cannot be fully inserted into the phone, or the connection disconnects with a slight touch?
- Possible Cause: The phone case or shockproof case is too thick, causing the charging port opening to block the USB-C connector from seating fully.
- Solution: Please remove the phone case first, then insert the voice recorder directly into the phone's charging port to ensure a good connection.
Troubleshooting for [Step 2]
Q4: After redirecting to the system file screen, I cannot find the ☰ menu icon in the upper-left corner?
- Possible Cause: Different Android brands (such as Samsung, Google Pixel, Xiaomi, etc.) have different built-in file manager UI designs. Some systems take a few seconds to mount external devices before the ☰ menu icon appears.
Solution:
- Please wait for 5–10 seconds after plugging it in, then check again
- If there is still no ☰ icon, look for "View other locations", "Storage", or "Browse" on the screen, or look directly for the external device named DVR-611 in the sidebar or drop-down menu.
Q5: After tapping into the DVR-611 device, I cannot find the "RECORD" folder, or the folder is empty?
- Possible Cause: No valid recordings have been saved in the voice recorder yet. According to the specifications, a valid recording must be longer than 5 seconds (less than 5 seconds will be regarded as an accidental touch and will not be saved).
- Solution: Please unplug the voice recorder first, push the switch down to make a test recording of more than 5 seconds, and then flip the switch upward to turn off the power and save the file. After confirming that there are valid files in the voice recorder, reinsert it into the phone to operate.
Troubleshooting for [Step 3]
Q6: After clicking "Use this folder", the App shows that the transfer failed?
- Possible Cause: When you select the folder, the Android system pops up a privacy permission prompt (for example: "Allow App to access files in this device?"). If you accidentally tap "Deny", the App will not be able to read the files.
- Solution: When the system pops up the permission request, be sure to tap "Allow". If you have previously tapped deny by mistake, please close the Notique
