When you use the Notique AI App to import larger recording files, transmitting via wireless Bluetooth (BLE) protocol is usually slower. To provide a more efficient experience, Notique AI Voice Recorder (Model: DVR-611) supports OTG USB transfer mode starting from App version V1.4.
If your iPhone uses a USB Type-C port for charging, you can use this feature.
iOS (iPhone / iPad) users please follow the three steps below:
Select Transfer Method
Open the Notique AI App, then tap "Import from Recorder". Two import methods will pop up at this time:
- USB-C Transfer (OTG)
- Wireless Transfer (BLE)
Please select the "USB-C Transfer (OTG)" transfer method.
Step 1: Connect Hardware
Rotate the USB interface protective cap at the top of the DVR-611 voice recorder counterclockwise to remove it, exposing the USB Type-C interface, and plug it directly into the charging port at the bottom of the iPhone / iPad. Once you have confirmed it is securely plugged in, tap the "Next" button.
Step 2: Select Recording Files
The system will automatically call and open the built-in iOS "Files" App. Please perform the following operations in order:
- Tap the "Browse" tab in the bottom right corner of the screen to expand the locations list.
- In the "Locations" list, look for and tap the external device "DVR-611".
- Once inside, tap the "RECORD" folder.
- Tap the recording file you want to transfer, and tap the "Open" button.
After completing the above selection actions, the system will automatically switch back to the Notique AI App and immediately begin high-speed file transfer.
🛠️ Troubleshooting Common Errors (FAQ)
If you encounter abnormal situations while operating the above three steps, please refer to the following countermeasures for troubleshooting:
Troubleshooting for [Step 1]
Q1: My iPhone has the older Lightning interface (models prior to iPhone 15), how do I connect it?
- Possible Cause: The DVR-611 comes standard with a standard USB Type-C connector.
- Countermeasure: If you are using an iPhone with a Lightning interface, this feature cannot be used due to the lack of a Type-C port.
Q2: The voice recorder is plugged into the phone, but the phone does not respond at all?
- Possible Cause: The phone case or shockproof case is too thick, resulting in insufficient space around the charging port, which prevents the USB-C connector from being fully inserted and fitted tightly.
- Countermeasure: Please remove the phone case first, and plug the voice recorder directly into the charging port of the iPhone to ensure the hardware connector is fully inserted to the bottom.
Troubleshooting for [Step 2]
Q3: After entering the "Files" screen, the "DVR-611" device cannot be found in the "Locations" list?
- Possible Cause: The iOS system sometimes fails to mount external flash drives immediately due to power-saving protection or system delay.
- Countermeasure:
- Please wait for 5–10 seconds after plugging it in.
- If it still does not appear, swipe up on the iPhone screen to completely close the "Files" App from background multitasking (swipe it away).
- Unplug and re-plug the voice recorder, then tap "Start Transfer" again in the Notique AI App.
Q4: After clicking into the "DVR-611" device, the "RECORD" folder cannot be found, or there are no files inside?
- Possible Cause: No valid recordings have been saved in the voice recorder yet. According to the manual specifications, the duration of an independent recording must exceed 5 seconds, otherwise the hardware will treat it as an accidental touch and will not save it.
- Countermeasure: Please unplug the voice recorder first. Make sure to slide the recording switch down (the green light turns to a red light flashing once every 2 seconds) to perform a test recording of more than 5 seconds, then slide the switch up to turn off the power and save the file. After confirming that there is a valid file, reconnect it to the phone and try again.
Q5: After entering the "RECORD" folder, the "Open" button in the upper right corner cannot be found?
- Possible Cause: You may have accidentally clicked into the folder and selected a single recording file (such as *.wav), or your iOS system language is different (it may display as "Done" or "Select").
- Countermeasure: Please ensure that you "stay at the directory level of the RECORD folder" (the RECORD folder should be visible on the screen, do not click into it to see the recording files). At this point, click the "Open" or "Done" button in the upper right corner directly. If you have already clicked into it, please tap the upper left corner to return to the previous level and select again.
